MatPay Privacy Policy

Who we are

MatPay ("MatPay," "we," "us") is a payments platform that enables sports clubs ("Clubs") to collect program registration payments online. Contact: hello@getmatpay.com.

What we collect

• Account information: name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Registration information: information provided when registering an athlete with a Club, which may include the athlete's name, date of birth, and sport-related identifiers (such as a sport governing-body ID). Athletes range from children to adults. For athletes who are minors, registration information is provided by a parent or guardian — not collected from the child directly. Adult athletes may register themselves.
• Payment information: payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers never touch MatPay's servers. We receive only transaction metadata (amount, date, status, last four digits of the card) needed to show payment history and receipts.
• Technical information: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and reliability.

How we use information

To operate the platform: process registrations, route payments to Clubs, send receipts and transactional emails, prevent fraud, secure the service, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information. We do not use registration data for advertising.

Who can see what

MatPay is multi-tenant: each Club can see only its own registrations and payments. Account holders can see their own accounts and payment history. MatPay platform administrators can access data across Clubs only for support, security, and operations.

Service providers

We share data with a limited set of service providers who operate the platform on our behalf — including payment processing (Stripe), database and application hosting, network infrastructure, and transactional email delivery. Each provider receives only the data necessary for its function and is bound by its own contractual and legal obligations. Card payments are processed by Stripe; see Stripe's privacy policy for how it handles payment data.

Children's privacy

MatPay accounts are for adults (18+). Information about minor athletes is provided by parents, guardians, or Club staff; MatPay does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact hello@getmatpay.com and we will delete it.

Data retention

We retain account and transaction records while your account is active and as required for legal, tax, and audit purposes. You may request deletion of your account by emailing hello@getmatpay.com; we will delete or anonymize personal information not required to be retained.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, per-tenant data isolation, and least-privilege access. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage strong, unique passwords.

Your choices and rights

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information by contacting hello@getmatpay.com. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights under applicable law.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notice on the site.
